Artist Vernon Grant, probably best know for his 1930′s creation of the Kellogg’s Snap! Crackle! and Pop! gnome-like characters, also did depictions of several Mother Goose stories for Kelloggs, that were offered to the public in 1938 and 1939 as premiums, as either full color 12″ x 15 1/2″ prints or 12 7/8″ x 16 3/8″ framed versions. The individual prints were 2 Kelloggs Rice Krispies box tops and a 3 cent stamp for each, and the scarcer framed prints, which included the glass, were 4 boxtops and .25 each. The complete set of six framed prints could be purchased for 20 boxtops and $1.40.

These are the six prints that were offered:

  • Humpty Dumpty
  • Jack and Jill
  • Jack Be Nimble
  • Little Jack Horner
  • Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater
  • Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

I recently purchased 4 of the 6 prints. I have Humpty Dumpty, Jack & Jill, Little Jack Horner, and Peter Peter. They are not framed but in great condition…could you tell me how to purchase the other 2 and how much are these prints worth now.

    Thank you for your time,
